From Mandy Harvey: 5 most important tips for auditioning on AGT (America’s Got Talent)

You might remember Mandy Harvey, America’s Got Talent season 12 contestant who finished in fourth place despite being deaf. She made such an impression with her voice, story and her ukelele that the normally unfazeable Simon Cowell sent her to the live rounds fast track by pressing the Golden Buzzer.

With the final season 13 auditions coming up in Los Angeles, CA at the Pasadena Convention Center on Feb. 3 and Phoenix, AZ at the Phoenix Convention Center on Feb. 24, we asked Mandy to provide some quick tips for those about to audition.

Here’s Mandy’s tips!:

  1. “Stay true to yourself!”
  2. “Put your heart into your performance.”
  3. “Let Go! Don’t worry about the audience/judges/competition… just focus on what you have control over which is you doing your best!”
  4. “Remember that showing up is the hardest part and you are already pushing past that barrier! That’s something to be proud of no matter what happens!”
  5. “You are not doing this alone! We are cheering for you! You got this!!!”
